From COVID Hobby to NYFW: The Blossoming Journey of Blossom and Love
When the world was hit by the pandemic, I found myself facing an uncertain future. Like many others, I sought a creative escape from the challenges that 2020 threw at us. Little did I know, what started as a pandemic hobby would turn into a full-time business and eventually lead me to the grand stage of New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
The craft of flower preservation became my sanctuary. I began preserving flowers from my garden, experimenting with different techniques to capture the beauty of nature in a lasting form. Each flower, once faded, now had the chance to live on forever — a symbol of resilience and beauty, just like myself during those times.
Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to announce that Blossom and Love is showcasing its very own collection at NYFW! It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m beyond excited to share it with all of you. This isn't just my story; it’s a story of growth, reinvention, and passion—proving that even in the toughest times, something beautiful can bloom.
Turning a Passion into a Full-Time Business: My Journey from Hobby to Full-Time Entrepreneur
Like many of us, when COVID-19 hit, I had to rethink how I approached life and work. I turned to flower preservation as a hobby, using the blooms I had in my backyard as a way to cope with the isolation. I learned different techniques of pressing and drying flowers, and I quickly fell in love with the intricate beauty of preserving something so fleeting and delicate.
It was during this time that I realized how much joy it brought me to see the transformation of fresh flowers into something everlasting—whether it was a piece of jewelry, a framed arrangement, or a custom bouquet for someone special. This spark of joy turned into the seed of Blossom and Love.
With lots of trial and error, perseverance, and a commitment to learning, I slowly but surely turned my passion into a business. From designing intricate flower arrangements to creating my DIY flower preservation kits, I’ve made it my mission to share this craft with others and help aspiring entrepreneurs blossom into their own creative ventures.
